What to expect on Sundays.
A Warm Welcome. When you step into our church, we hope you feel at home. We may all come from different backgrounds or life stages, but Sundays are a safe space to arrive as you are and be welcomed in like family. Our Greeting Team will be hanging out in the lobby, and they are excited to meet you!
Casual Dressy. Wear modest clothes is about the only rule we have when it comes to dress code! You will see everything from street wear to suits and neckties. We invite you to come in whatever makes you feel comfortable. It’s what’s inside of you that is most important to us (and God).
We Are Alive. Expect the music at Church Alive to be energetic and loud! Our high-energy worship gatherings are designed to create an atmosphere that is engaging and impactful. Our Worship Team leads us in passionate praise and worship each week. There is a great sense of freedom here that allows one to easily encounter God.
Challenging Word. You can expect thought-provoking and engaging messages based on the Bible each Sunday that’s meant to change us from the inside out. Our goal is to equip you with all of the tools you need to live an impactful life.
A Place to Connect. You were made to be known by others. When Jesus calls His disciples to follow Him, He gives the gift of community. Sunday mornings are more than a weekly message; they’re an opportunity to meet and begin to grow in community with those around you. You’ll find opportunities on Sunday mornings to take your next steps in getting involved with our church!

In 2000, our founding pastors entrusted the mantle of Senior Pastor to Pastors Carey and Vannie, who have since led with unwavering faithfulness and a passionate commitment to hosting the presence of God in Roanoke.

The church is a place for all ages and life stages. No matter what stage of life you find yourself in, there is something for you here. From infants to great-grandparents, this is a safe and thriving place for the whole family to experience Jesus and community together.

We consider reaching people who do not know God personally one of our greatest responsibilities. Our Sunday services are for people at all stages in their spiritual journey but are especially geared toward those who do not have a genuine relationship with God.

We believe real life change happens in the context of authentic relationships, which is why we are a church made up of small groups. In the Bible, the early church worshipped in the temple, but personal ministry happened “house to house.”

Our process is made up of four steps, which guide you to accept Jesus, attach to the church, advance in your purpose, and activate your gifts by serving others.
