Minister of Music, Media, & the Arts; and Assistant Administrator

 

 

Pastors Cary and Vannie

Amy Smith, daughter of Pastors Carey & Vannie Harrell, helped in the pioneering of Church Alive International from 1993 - 1997, assisting in various areas as needed. From 1997 - 2000, she traveled with her college choir, The Evangelistic Singers of Lee University. After graduating college, Amy became involved with the Oasis Worship Centre in Nashville, Tennessee, serving with the worship team, college & career ministry, and media activities of the church.

 

Upon her return to Roanoke in 2003, Amy began leading Kids Alive. In January 2005, she accepted the role of Minister of Music, Media, & the Arts, overseeing the praise and worship team and media activities of Church Alive International. Her heart beats to help the children of God understand our relationship to our Father, learning to express our love for Him through passionate praise and intimate worship. In 2008, Amy began serving as Assistant Administrator, assisting with the various administrative needs of the church.

 

Amy is married to Tim Smith, who serves as the HiDef Student Ministries Pastor. Together, Tim & Amy minister to the teens on a weekly basis, and they also have directed thel M4 Mexico Missions trips. Tim & Amy have one daughter, Reagan Kaylee, and one son, Cole Judah.
