QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE AS A FIRST-TIME ATTENDER
How should I dress?
In a nutshell, just come as you are. Any style of modest dress is appropriate. The Sunday morning congregation is filled with a variety of styles, from blue jeans & t-shirts to suits & ties, from capris & sandals to dresses & heels. This variety flows through the adult, youth, and children's services. For Tuesday night prayer meeting, Wednesday night services, and Life Groups, we all tend to dress more casually. Whatever your preference in style, please don't let dress keep you from coming and joining with us!
How early should I arrive?
If you arrive about 15 minutes prior to the service start time, you should have plenty of time to sign your children into their respective classes, find a seat, and meet a few people before the service begins. If you prefer to arrive closer to service time, please be aware that for security reasons, the building entrance from the rear parking lot will be locked after service begins, but you may still enter thru the main front entrance at any time during the service. If service has already begun, an usher will help you find a seat in the sanctuary.
Where should I park?
We have open parking, except for spaces reserved for handicapped parking. Feel free to park in any open space, in front, in the rear, or on either side of the building. If you require a handicapped parking space, those spaces are reserved for you in the front of the building.
Am I going to be singled out as a visitor in front of everyone?
No. The greeters at the front door will welcome you when you come in, giving you a visitor's brochure and an information card that we ask you to fill out. You can hold onto that card until after the service, when the Pastors or staff members will greet you in the main foyer and take your card. During the service, one of the Pastors will usually welcome all visitors in general but will not single you out. We want you to feel comfortable as you join us and evaluate whether or not Church Alive International is the place you can call "home!"
May my children stay with me in the adult service?
Absolutely. We hope once your children see the fun-loving and friendly atmosphere of our children's classes, they will want to jump in the fun; however, we completely understand that they may not yet be comfortable leaving you. If that is the case, they are welcome to sit with you and participate in the adult service.
Who can help me if I have questions before, during, or after the service?
Our ushers and greeters are in place to assist you with any questions you have once you get here. Greeters are available before the service, and ushers are available before, during, and after the service to assist you.
