Alone, but I’m not lonely
There’s One who walks beside me
In front and all-surrounding
His Presence, yes, it guides me

He knows my deepest longings
He authored them inside me
So when I may feel lonely
His loving arms, they hide me

I caught a glimpse, so simply
His face—to me, He’s looking
With eyes focused intently
Into my soul, He sees

His passion, it’s breathtaking
This King, He loves so deeply
And now, the one He’s shaping
Is the single, lonely—me.

My heart responds with, “Yes!”
Lord, my everything is Yours!
My dreams, desires, my best
Into Your hands I pour

For if I cannot trust You
With the things that I hold near
How will You ever trust me
With the ones that You hold dear?

Father, let my heart beat
To the rhythm of Your plans
Clear my eyes to freely see
How I can be Your hands

May loneliness no longer be
Companion here to me
Now that Love has set me free
Your captive may I be.
